Iran North West Tour (10 Days)

Day 1 Tehran/Urmia Fly to Urmia, visit the oldest church in this city built after Jesus Christ. Then, head to Urmia Lake, where is one of the largest lakes in the Middle East.

Day 2 Urmia/Kandovan Drive toward Kandovan, a volcanic village. Kandovan is a village close to Tabriz with lots of cave houses from 700 years ago. We will visit the whole village from the hill which provides us better panorama of the village.

Day 3 Kandovan/Tabriz – In this city we will enjoy nice and delicious food and of course magnificent historical sites like the Great entrance gate of the city with its nice stories.

Day 4 Tabriz – Tabriz City tour will get underway by visiting Arg Mosque, Constitution house( During the years which led to constitutional Revolution and afterwards the house was used as a gathering place by the leaders, activists and sympathizers of the movement) , Blue Mosque. Don’t forget to visit El-Gölü where is one of the most beautiful places in the city. You are free in the afternoon to visit Bazaar and even you may be interested in visiting the new and modern areas of the city.

Day 5 Tabriz/Jolfa – It will be interesting to visit in the morning, the world heritage churches. That place is known as the holy land for Christians .The St. Stepanos Monastery is an Armenian monastery about 15 km northwest of Jolfa city, East Azarbaijan Province northwest Iran. It is situated in a deep canyon along the Arax river on the Iranian side of the border between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Iran. It was built in the 9th century and rebuilt in the Safavid era after several earthquakes. The nice view of the river bank motives you to appreciate the Persian landscape.

Day 6 Ardebil – Ardabil is the coldest city of Iran. The tomb of Sheikh Safi Ardebil, Safavid kings and the loyal familes are in Ardebil. We will enjoy nice park with a lake in middle of the city. Don’t forget to try their special soup!!

Day 7 Sarein – Sarain warm water natural hot spring is there, that is really good for skin and relaxation. That is really good after one week for recovery.
Day 8 Masouleh – We will go to see a small historical village known as Masooleh, on the way we get to Foman where is famous for its walnut cookies. So, if you are foody don’t miss it. During the way to Masouleh, we will pass a zig zag roads, full of tall green trees, and beautiful landscapes. In final carves, we can see a village in a middle of forest, where you can see the houses in special styles and the roofs of one house is the yards of another one. They decorate their houses with woody balconies and colorful glasses windows. In the afternoon, we will explore the village, bazaars, waterfall and jungle around it. Here you can see how local people bake bread, enjoy fresh bread. Then, we recommend you to have local food for dinner.
Day 9 Qazvin – We will go to see one of the oldest mosques of Iran known as Atiq jame mosque, the foundation of this mosque is laid on a Zoroastrian temple. We will walk through bazaars of Qazvin, there you will find so many different kinds of handicrafts from around the country. Also, we will find some caravanserais and enjoy drinking coffee in a traditional café, there. Afterward, we will go to see a traditional laundry.
Day 10 Tehran – We will drive back to Tehran after a few hours of driving and finish the tour with sweet memories and moments.
